Caribou is pleased to be able to offer a "Logger's Edge Lite" in the form of its recently acquired "StumpGeek" product. StumpGeek is designed for very small loggers with one or two crews who still need a system to track their load tickets and follow the economics of their business so they can stay in business.
Our Cutting Edge software provides small to mid-sized forestry mills as well as land management companies and timber brokers with a log payment and raw material inventory management system to help them streamline their contractor and landowner payment process. The Cutting Edge also facilitates tracking of outbound fiber transactions with external customers. The system generates professional-looking, easy-to-read contractor pay statements in a matter of seconds, and the log cost and raw material inventory reports provided by the software are critical for helping mill managers understand their cost structure.
If your loadermen can use a cell phone, he can easily use Suzie Logger as a replacement for his hand-written daily log books and hand-scrawled multi-carbon trip tickets. This electronic load tracking software currently runs on a rugged Windows Mobile device, or on an Android phone.
Caribou’s Load Master is an iOS (Apple) app that can work as a stand-alone, in-woods digital ticket entry system or can be integrated seamlessly with Caribou’s back-office “Edge” system. If internet connection is available via cellular data or Wi-Fi service, loads are automatically shared with Caribou’s web portal where foresters, land owners, and office personnel can access the data on a real-time basis.
Caribou’s Handheld Log Scaling System works on an Android Operating System. It can operate as a stand-alone system, but works even better in conjunction with Caribou's Cutting Edge log payment system. You download your log scale data from the handheld computer over Wi Fi from your log yard. The Information sent over the wireless network is available to our Cutting Edge program and is available for immediate real time use by your Office Staff. No more messing with thumb drives and lost cables.
Caribou's 'Logger's E-Time' is a web-based electronic time sheet system that integrates directly with your Logger's Edge back-office software system. Field workers use a laptop or tablet to enter their time sheets. Supervisors can then review and approve the time sheets, on-line. Upon approval, these time cards are visible and available for correction and processing in Logger's Edge. It's that easy!!!!
